Mary our Mother

Image
On August 15th, we celebrated the Solemnity of the Assumption, when Mary was taken into Heaven, body and soul. It is a time to reflect on who Mary is, and just what she does for us. She may not seem important to most people, but God knew that she was the one to carry out His plan. She is the perfect model of virtue for all of us and strives to bring us closer to her Son. It only seems natural to want to get to know her. If we ask her, she will gladly intercede for us as our loving mother and spiritual companion. It is also very beneficial to make an act of consecration to Jesus through Mary. As St. Louis de Montfort says: "Total consecration to Jesus through Mary is the surest, easiest, shortest, and most perfect means to becoming a saint." This means that the consecration is very powerful. Mary will be by our side, guiding us to her Son every step of the way, and helping us get to Heaven. We only have to give up our control and give it to Mary, who will take it to Jesus. Aft

Update on Archie

Hello everyone.  I'm afraid I have sad news. Archie Battersbee's parents lost the legal battle and Archie's life support was removed on Saturday and he died right after.  Please pray for his soul and for his parents.  But we don't stop here. In memory of Archie we have to keep fighting for people like him - people whom everyone would just have declare dead and have done with. And not only in cases like his, but also in particular with Euthanasia. In the Netherlands for example they are trying to make Euthanasia legal for 5-12 year olds in cases of bad disability or serious illnesses, and other countries will most likely follow suit. We have to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. We can't just say 'they are as good as dead', that is the sin of despair. We have to trust God and put their lives in His hands. That's what it means to be pro life. It's not just about abortion, though that is a huge component, but also about people like Archie
